Terms and Conditions of Orders
Custom Orders
Once an order is placed, a deposit of 50% is required before we will process the order. The remainder of the balance, shipping & handling and any applicable tax are due prior to delivery. A written Order Estimate & Agreement contract is provided for all custom orders, outlining all Terms & Conditions of sale.
Order cancellations will result in Aspen Woodworking Studios retaining some or all of the deposit. The amount retained is determined based on the amount of time and materials that Aspen Woodworking Studios has incurred at the time of cancellations. All cancellations must be made in writing, either by email to sales@aspenwoodworkingstudios.com, by letter or using our Contact Us form.
Returns
We stand behind the quality of all of the furniture we build, however, custom orders cannot be returned unless they are defective. Pieces ordered from our collection may be returned for any reason within 7 days of delivery, with the buyer paying return shipment costs. Aspen Woodworking Studios will pay return shipment postage or freight costs for defective pieces.
Defects
Defects are generally related to problems with the structural integrity of the piece. Since Aspen wood, by nature, has certain characteristics that add to the artistic appeal of the piece these characteristics are not considered to be defects. These include, but are not limited to: cracks, worm tracks, knots, holes, checking and color variations. If cracks compromise the structural integrity of the piece we will repair or replace it free of charge.
